Biff Hawke here. I posted this as a reply to Grizzly's message by mistake. Here it is again in the proper place - I hope!

I'm writing a new book titled 'ONCE UPON THE BRINE - Life at Sea and Ashore in the Canadian Navy during the Cold War.' Actually, I'm not authoring the book per se, but rather, it will be a compilation of a series of short stories contributed by current and former navy men and women (and even spouses) who served in the RCN/CF during the Cold War (1946-1989). I'm sure that lots of us have stories to tell. I've set up an announcement page on my website that amplifies the topic. You'll also find detailed instructions if you want to contribute a story - and I hope you do. I intend to release the book during the Canadian Navy Centennial Year (2009-2010).
