SNOW, Douglas SherwoodSNOW, Douglas Sherwood - 77, Dartmouth, passed away May 24, 2008, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in St. John's, NL., he was a son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Snow. Douglas was a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces, retiring after 36 years of service. He is survived by sons, Kenneth (Denise), Wayne (Michele), both of Dartmouth; Brian (Anne), Lower Sackville and Derek (Kim), Moncton; nine grandchildren; as well as special friend, Eleanor. He was predeceased by his wife, Hilda. Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. followed immediately by memorial service at 8 p.m. Wednesday, all in Dartmouth Funeral Home, 29 Queen St. Burial will take place at a later date in Newfoundland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
